The 2025 winner of Maine's Got Talent, Amy Stacey Curtis learns five songs weekly on her ukulele after a debilitating brain injury caused by Lyme disease, a self-prescribed music therapy helping her speech after a six-year progression from psychosis and wheelchair, to walker, to cane, back to her feet. Amy has played over 650 cover songs, sharing her story and singing at open mics plus periodic solo performances throughout Maine, also on YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok, where one of her videos has over 600K views.

Restrung is follower-requested and -titled, inspired by how Amy "restrung" her brain playing the ukulele and restrung the songs she sings. This home-recorded, 12-track, ukulele cover album features songs by AC/DC, The Rolling Stones, ZZ Top, Cyndi Lauper, Heart, Billy Idol, The Cars, Alice in Chains, Walter Eger, The Smiths, Bananarama, and Prince. All songs are performed by Amy (vocals, ukulele, and in one song, a brass glockenspiel), except for "Cruel Summer" which features bass and keyboard by "Ukulele Joe" Sweeney and violin by Vanessa Jones.
